    concealable fixed blade?

Im really looking into a smaller fixed blade knife for concealed carry. I have a CRKT first strike, but I cannot get a good edge on it despite tremendous effort. I would really like something that has a sheath that would lend itself to IWB carry. I have been looking around and I really like the Shivworks clinchpick and disciple but they are a bit pricey for me at the moment. I need a knife that is around $100 give or take a few dollars. Also the blade should be around 3 inches but up to 4 is acceptable. thx in advance for any help.

Sig Sauer sells a neck knife as do other knife makers.

Hangs around your neck upside down in a kydex sheath. Could be warn IWB as the sheath has a belt clip too!

there are alot of smaller fixed blades around that cost under $100. i like crkt's plan b. it's under 4", and has a recurved blade. cold steel has a few newer boot knives, that are of concealable size. push daggers are also a way to go. how about the kabar tdi? there's plenty of choices out there. my biggest problem is trying to pick just one.

Recently I picked up a Benchmade Instigator (10536BP) at a gun show for $20.00. It is a neck knife and I bought it just for the heck of it. I have worn it around my neck with stainless steel, bathroom plumbing chain and it has turned out to be a marvelously handy little knife. Sorry, no pics but here is the Benchmade URL http://www.benchmade.com/products/pr...px?model=10536. It is a really inexpensive but rugged little knife.

well thx for the idea i really like the sigtac and the BM, may have to make a trip to the knife store this week. If anyone else has any ideas, i forgot to mention I can't use a double edged or push dagger as i believe they are illegal in TX

I've got a Cold Steel Desperado that I like. It's a wicked slasher and it's a good thruster, too. Some may find the grip and its angle awkward for thrusting, but not me. The grip is small and odd, but it fits my hand well. If you have big hands you might not like it, or if you want to use it for utility functions you might not like it either.

But it's perfect for what I want it for.

    Check it out.

Double-edge blades (daggers) are legal in some states, illegal in others. If allowed in your state, the Cold Steel CounterTac II is well under $100 and has a blade just under 3.5 inches. I just got one of these and like it.

Another vote for the Benchmade Instigator (10536BP).
I like mine, but havent had a chance to carry it yet. I still need to fabricate a waist carry rig.

Another choice is the Kbar TDI. There are some places on the ne that sell better holsters for CCW.

The Yojimbo doesn't fold. The Ronin does, but it was discontinued
I thought the Ronin was fixed ? Anyhow, its a shame that it was discontinued. I should have bought one when I had a chance.

I had good luck with a Cold Steel Culloden. I don't think they make it anymore, But i am sure they still make something like it still. That was one sharp, durable knife that carried very well.

How bout an Ontario RAT-3?? They come with D2 steel, and an excellent sheath to boot. I've had one for a while now and really like it.

How about a HAK, a Hide Away Knife? They are small knives that have tough blades and fit around your index and middle finger, very controllable and allow you to manipulate a weapon. about $100 though.

I like the TDI knife. You could get the live blade and the trainer within budget.
