Looks awesome! Cant wait for the report. The sound and light additions seem like a good idea. I have been looking for a compact version that can be carried easily along with everything else in the EDC. In your report could you provide approx dimensions or pictures with reference point?

    Thanks!

    Cool

Got the Ruger Ultra Pepper Spray System today.

It has a belt clip and the unit itself is small and it is easy to cover the nozzel if you do not grasp it just right.

The audable alarm and light work well when removed from the holder and could work to call attention to the situation.

I question if the light is bright enough to disorient an attacker.

The safety door if forgotten when the unit is removed from the beltclip will keep the spray from being activated.

I personnally would not use the safety door because of this.

At $29.95 retail you could get two Mark VI or Mark III models from Saber, Fox and other brands and I will not purchase additional Ruger units like this one but stay with the old standby's.

If one were to decide too get the Ruger Ultra my advice would be to practice, practice, practice before activating and carrying for SD.

Hummm....Never thought I'd see it. Overly engineered doggone, dadblamed, pepper spray.

    What's next?
Maybe....a battery operated salt shaker that pricks your finger when you pick it up ~ instantly monitors your blood pressure & features an electronic sexy female voice that reminds you to "go easy" on the salt.

In the demonstration I was present at with our local SO, the irritant is projected in a manner to minimize the blowback. With any of these products there is some degree of risk that you will get some exposure. The SO spoke very highly of the product for their officers use.
