Looking for a good survival knife. I like the gerber lmf2 but at about 75 bucks outta my price range. Would like ability to use with flint for fire starting but not required.

That COLD STEEL Bushman is actually not a bad knife. It's not incredible at keeping a keen edge but, you can baton the living daylights out of it.
I have a few of them. Mrs. QK uses one in the garden. I have another one in the vehicle emergency box with tools and jumper cables, flares, and "FIX A FLAT" and other assorted stuff. And there is one in my BOB as an extra beater & digging blade.
I wouldn't want it as a primary survival knife but, it comes in real handy for those times when you don't want to dull a keen edge on your primary & you can sharpen it easily with a smooth rock.
Becker Campanion, about $70 or so.
If that's too rich, try the Gerber Prodigy, about $50 from LAPolicegear.com
After that, try the CS knives shown above, they have a good reputation for durability. After that, try the Condor Rodan knives, pretty heavy duty, but cheap (about $25).
Good luck.
Count me in as another fan of the Bushman Bowie and the Glock knife. I actually got the Glock as a freebee from a Glock rep many years ago and when I carried it on my fire gear I used it for chopping, prying, and busting glass and it only has a small chip in the blade after all that. The Bushman is great, the sheath I didn't care for, I made a replacement. The stock sheath does have a pocket big enough to hold a magnesium fire starter and flint. I bought a couple from Ebay that came with a striker for $2.

I heard that. One of the worst I've ever seen.

I always get a laugh out of so-called survival knives, back in 1980 when I attended USAF Survival School I carried a Gerber A450 similar to this one (did not pay that much back then). Out of the assortment of “survival” knives ranging from 4 inch double edge boot knives to some that were almost bayonets that little Gerber got more use than any other knife. Still have the knife and it does see use on occasion.
