Nice looking knives. They seem a bit pricey, although CPM S30V steel is pricey. The blades with 440c are probably better than most give credit for 440c--it's fairly high carbon steel, pretty hard, yet you can usually sharpen it w/o too much trouble if the the edge isn't too far gone. The wood scales (grips) look great--I guess you have to handle the knives personally to see if they're worth over $100. So many fine gun makers 'farm out' their name to companies that make cheap knives in China that are junk--hopefully this is a diffferent scenario.

At a weight of 7 to over 8 ounces for a folder, I think you're better off using the carry pouch on your belt than the available pocket clip. The limited run of 20 version with the Damascus steel blade looks pretty, but at $200, I dunno--I use my knives and that's so pretty I'd be tempted to keep it in a drawer or safe. The steel maker Alabama Damascus Blade / ADS0072-DKG makes decent knives and steel for very good prices, considering they're customs.

Generally, I put quality knives by country/region in the following order, number one being best. USA, W. Europe, Japan, Brazil, Taiwan, China, Pakistan--I wonder where these are made?.

I haven't had one in my hand yet but I did talk to a rep from Ultimate Equipment a while back when I first saw these knives. The do sell the knife with out the handle scales at a slight discount. I don't know about everyone but the last thing I need is another set of 1911 grips.

I will probably end up getting one in the near future just because it's a unique idea.

Kind of weird that the Remington version is actually more expensive than the limited run originals despite there not being any real upgrades in the steel.
