No, it has nothing to do with that show. I've been interested in one for a while and watching movies like The Patriot and TV shows like Top Shot kinda pushed me over the top, plus it's cheaper than another gun. Looks like a good close quarters weapon and I think I could learn to throw it which would be a nice backyard activity.
Although I've heard rumors of someone who has probably seen that show or has it on DVR, maybe in the astral plane or an alternate universe.
whats rizolli and isles? o.0
i have the 'standard' SOG and the SOG short hawk. at 67 years of age, and a stroke survivor, i really hope to avoid situations where they are my primary means of SD. i just always thought that fighting hawks were cool, and better than a knife for SD.
p.s: i also have a (cheap) samurai-type sword, which i also think is cool.
Tomahawk's are awesome, I would like to get one of the SOG ones, when I get back stateside. Great tools, great weapons, and fun to throw (if you can get it to stick).
I like Peter LaGana’s original Vietnam Tomahawk design.
I have a SOG and several Cold Steels. My favorite is the Norse Hawk, and an Axe Gang is my next purchase. For a First I think the Norse or a Frontier hawk from CS.
this kinda reminds me of the book Hatchet that I read when I was a kid :)
If I was gonna get a Tomahawk it would be pricey even if I could get approval from the ATF I haven't seen any cruise missiles on gunbroker
+10 on the Cold Steel.
I recommend these:
Cold Steel Trail Hawk
Cold Steel Trench Hawk
I have an American Tomahawk Co. VTAC from Peter Laguna, it's quality and very sharp.

There're quite a number of good Tomahawks out there, including some custom ones that aren't too expensive. Fort Turner's comes to mind (Theirs range between $50-120). For inexpensive, it's hard to beat Cold Steel or SOG. Cold Steel uses 1055 carbon steel & SOG uses 420 stainless steel, so it depends on ones needs. Personally, I have a SOG tactical Hawk that was coated (A dark black/grey digicam). At a total of $45, it wasn't a bad purchase (The shipping alone cost $15, so $30 is not too much to spend, I think).
The SOG Fast Hawk is pretty nice in that it's a little smaller & probably makes for a good throwing Hawk.
Good luck with your choice.
I bought a SOG Fusion battle axe and have been happy with it.
