YOU INCONSIDERATE FOOL! Don't you know that he was really kissing the rare endangered mustard packet, and that after gutting his packets mate he was probally to shocked and fled in fear that you might find the "nest" and finish off the rest of them...

    ok a little over dramatized...
but wow! I must admit that I'm a nail biter and must resort to edged assistance on a regulat basis, I use the Spyderco Poilice model myself and have never gotten somuch as a nervous glance....

Here's the offending Cricket with the other knife I was carrying at the time, my MOD Dieter CQD Mod II. I can only image how he would've reacted if I pulled that one out.

LOL, a mental picture of Paul Hogan comes to mind "Knife? That's not a Knife; THIS is a Knife."

Good thing the little one did the trick, imagine if she had to dig out reinforcements? Hehehe.

At least one previous employer had me worried for a bit; no personal knives allowed, and the company-provided ones were junk. (Colorful junk, at that; I guess it's not a wepon if it's a pretty color) First time several of us had to open a couple of pallets worth of boxes, I thought I was going to go deaf from all the evil black knives clicking open at once.

Even so, my Griptilian did get more than a few admirers that day.

At work I use one of those clip on pocket folders with disposable blades.

I keep the good one in my pocket and abuse these poor things. I don't feel bad when I have to cut through caulking on a concrete block wall, or hit a screw/nail either. Plus when it gets dull I toss the old one and get a new one. Apparently though I must use it a little too well. One day I was getting ready to cut something or other, and as usual I snatched it off my right pocket, and whipped it open real quick. As I was doing this I heard a gasp and a small scream from directly behind me. It seems the customer had walked right up behind me and was getting ready to tap me on the shoulder. She looked very startled. I asked her if she was ok, while I proceeded to cut whatever, then closed the knife and clipped it back on my pocket as if nothing had happened. She mumbled some excuse, but kept her distance. LOL!

    What a great story...

It reminds me of one guys signature line, spoof of the movie Sixth Sense, it went somrthing like this:

"I see stupid people, they're everywhere. Some of them don't even know that they're stupid!"

    ALWAYS carry! - NEVER tell!

"A superior Operator is best defined as someone who uses his superior
judgement to keep himself out of situations that would require a display of his
    superior skills."

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

Hey man, those spyderco crickets are, like, weapons of mass destruction, man... Every time I even glimpse one I have to go home and, like, calm down..take a breather..realize how close my life came to ending...

    haha, just kidding of course.
