Yeah, as a Tennessean I can't imagine knife laws like that. At the same time, I have to admit that I'm not well versed on my own state's laws regarding them. If they're strict, they certainly aren't enforced. People around here simply carry knives.

To answer the question; I carry a knife with a clip, but typically keep it in my pocket unclipped. Only because it gets in the way of getting my keys in and out of the same pocket when it's clipped.

In NYC, for example, if the police see your clipped knife, you are going to get screwed. Hard. Even if it's technically a legal knife in NYC (knives that most of us carry are NOT legal there), they will try like crazy to get it to fall into the 'gravity knife' category. I've even heard of knives that an officer could open only with both hands being called a gravity knife.

If it's not clipped, you don't have this particular problem. Though their relatively new 'stop and frisk' practices may make even fully concealed carry a large risk.

Makes sense, as most people use their dominant hand to put on their watch, and often a firearm is carried strong side.
I am so busted! I carry the knife weak side when I carry my handgun.

Guess I'll start wearing my watch strong side!

Clipped. It is a EDC knife and I want it handy as I use it every day from opening boxes to cutting apples.

    Me too!

Fortunately, most thugs aren't smart enough to notice/consider which hand is the dominant of their victim.

I carry clipped. My shirt usually covers but around here a guy without a knife would be looked at more than a guy with a knife.

Concealing a knife is ilegal in Wa so clipped is the norm.
