You do realize that freedom of speech does not apply in a privately owned internet forum don't you???

Ha! That was actually pretty good. Kinda like, Bulimia. I don't see many poor people suffering from it. They call it starving.

Your point is well made, but note that I emphasize several times in the article that Hinderer makes a fine knife.

It just seems that you are REALLY going out of your way to highlight this issue. A simple, "This guy's a jerk and his customer service sucks", would have gotten the point across just as quickly as a three page diatribe.
One thing I'll say, at least you do your research.
Well, understand that I think I have an obligation to do so considering how many review articles I've done praising and recommending Hinderer products. For some people, the integrity of the maker isn't entirely a separate issue, especially given the choices in the market place at this price level.

I think it is bad form to import drama from another forum. On several forums, I have seen moderators shut down such threads.

Regarding free speech, such a thing does not exist on private forums, such as USN and this forum.

I do not own a Hinderer knife, and would not know the man if I saw him.

How did you hurt him by selling knives you already had paid for? That was (pardon the pun in advance) cutting off your nose to spite your face. I could see never giving him a dime of your money, but you sold knives you say are great. Smacks of a tantrum.

There is nothing wrong with his product and you admit this. Here fill this out.1-01ece685d9.jpg

there are reasons to buy or not buy an item or a service that have nothing to do with the quality.

This is less about USN and more about Hinderer and Strider. It just so happens that both brands have brand sponsored forums on USN - sort of hard to tell the story without explaining what happened on USN.

I'm not trying to hurt anyone.

Not really...it smacks of having principles. There's lots of great knives out there - there's no reason to carry one which reminds me every time I use it of how badly I was treated by the company and its representatives.
