Retractable Baton in New Orleans

I have a CCW and am planning a trip to New Orleans but don't want to go through the hassle of traveling with a firearm. Plus I was under the impression it was illegal to carry in a bar so that would seriously hamper enjoying the French Quarter. I was wondering about carrying a retractable baton.

It's got conflicting laws on whether or not you can carry in a restaurant that serves alcohol. A baton would probably be covered under "dangerous weapon" as well. You should probably spend some quality time with the statutes before going.
