    My carry knife

When I can't have my firearm, (and when I can) this knife stays with me All the time. I've carried a number of different knives, and this one has become my favorite. It was given to me by the older gentleman I bought my last truck from. We sat and talked for hours about concealed carry, his life in the military, and the state of the world. The day I finally came to pick up the truck, He surprised me with this gift of a knife that he had obtained when he was serving in Germany. The finish is dulled from being carried so often, but I really love this knife, and carry it partially as a testament to the fact that there still are well meaning, caring people out there.

This is a stock photo of it:

I don't know much about it except it's a german military blade (from what I could gather). All information about it is in german, and that adds alot uniqueness to the blade. If anyone has more information on this knife, I'd love to hear it. Inscribed on the left side is
    C.JUL.HERBERTZ
    AISI 420
    NR.328112
    Nick

I'm handy with google so I took some time and found it online.
The extra info came in handy btw, so thanks. Looks like a great knife.

The best I could get for you is the name: Herbertz Springmesser. most everyone that carries it has their info in german or dutch or something, so if you can read german, google "Herbertz Springmesser" and read up. I can't so, good luck. Great looking blade.

    Herbertz jumping measurer
    Kind NR.: 325112
The knife is equipped with extreme a strong feather/spring. The booklet from light alloy is ergonomically formed, so that the knife reliably in the hand lies. For the fast readiness of application of the measurer the practical Clipp provides. The blade is matt gesandstrahlt.
    Booklet length: 12 cm
    black booklet
    smooth cut

I have the same knife except the handle of mine is not black. I also picked mine up in Germany, but don't carry it because it is a "switch blade" in my town.

I carry this thing around with me to clean my fingernails, cut 550 cord and other tasks. I had a Benchmade Autostryker I picked up along the way but had a friend that really like it so I gave it to him.
