I like the Benchmade Griptilian and mini-griptilian.
Which do you prefer? What blade do you prefer?

I like the Benchmade Griptilian and mini-griptilian.

Depends if you like a smaller sub 3" blade or a 3.4" blade. I always carry a larger blade unless I'm going somewhere that has a 3" blade limit.

I haven't even thought anything under 5" may be illegal.
I like reasonable priced gerber.
Of the two mentioned, I would go for the full size Griptilian 551. I own the full size and mini grip, both are excellent.

How about the blade type? Sheepsfoot?
They're both excellent, but I prefer the full-sized one. It often takes the place of my belt knife when I'm in the outdoors.
What is this for? pocket carry? camping? fighting? defense? they all so many different purposes. For every day carry, I have a Benchmade Mini Rukus which I love. But for out in the woods and or camping I use these:
For camping - Becker BK5
For Woods Carry - Bekcer BK7
For Neck Carry - Becker BK11
Google the Becker Knives. You'll see how tough they are :)
Glock 20sf, Glock 19 gen4, Glock 26 gen3, Colt 1911 Series 80
I use full size easier for most chores001.jpg strider lmf
Assuming you are not someplace in the state with restrictive local laws like San Antonio, you should be fine with any blade under 4.5".
Having said that, consider how many non-knife people you are likely to be around during the day. People can get a bit alarmed in some areas if you flick out a big blade to open a package, especially at work where many employers allow 'pocket knives' but not 'weapons' (usually defined by if a co-worker feels threatened and complains). I got some funny looks flicking out an Endura in line at Carls Jr to cut out a coupon one time.
I like the mini-grip for EDC, with a larger knife for weekend carry or when I'm likely to performing heavier cutting tasks.
I like my EDC knife to be small and light. I'd go with the mini.
