    Laser as a defensive weapon?

Anybody use military grade laser as a defensive weapon? They have pointer style pen lasers that can damage an eye. Would that possibly make a defensive weapon if you could not have a knife or gun?
Not sure if there are any regulations on carry or restrictions on the use.

You can probably do more damage with a high lumen flashlight than a laser.

As for lasers, I'll wait until one of the major manufacturers makes one.

Use anything and everything as a weapon in a self-defense situation.

However, a laser would not be my ideal go-to of choice.

Depends on if it is a Class 1, 2 or 3 system.

Class -redacted- can be used to explode an opponent's eyes. Nuff said on that.

So the laser pointers that I picked up for around $10-15 bucks are not very good. It would be too hard to blind somebody with it and can't see at day light.
I can always throw it at them.

No, you could do WAY more damage with a good hit from a 1W laser. However, the trick is getting a good hit on a small moving target with a tiny point of light.
