    My new "sometimes" carry "knife"

Bought this the other day on a whim,,,,, probably a waste of money but I always wanted one.

Cold Steel Heavy Duty Sword Cane. Seems sturdy, blade is thick and sharp. It is double edged for 8-9" at the tip.

Before anyone gets all twitchy and laws and stuff,,,,,,,,,,, Kansas recently removed all restrictions from edged weapons. So this is "good to go" throughout my home state.

I figured it would be good for those times/places where you can't carry a gun.

I'm old-ish, bald, and have a white beard. I don't think anyone is going to hassle me about having a "walking aid".

Excellent! May you walk straight and tall with your beautiful new "walking aid!" And may you never have to whip out the inside for SD.

Well Sir (OP) I was gonna ask if you was an old guy like many of us here but you done answered all my questions. Another year or so I'll be using a cane I think. My hair ain't white yet. Just grayish Blonde so if you got any hot Blonde jokes up your sleeve knock yourself out and aim them all right at me. I kin take it

Nothing wronge with a little old school now and then, brother. I use a cane from time to time myself for both medical reasons and for the cool factor if I'm coming clean. I carry one that can be used defensively as well, though not edged. I'm Irish so I went the shillelagh route, myself. The solid metal ends are extremely hefty, and the gold tinted cane's shaft is made from some really nice hardwood that feels like it'd take a truck to break.

I hope you don't mind me sharing your thread a little here.

That thing is awesome! I wish they would make one in a woods walking stick configuration.

My grandfather had a sword cane in his collection of walking sticks when I was a young lad; Every classy gentleman should.

This made me think of a company that I saw that made true Irish walking stick ( but the fun part was the head was solid lead ....) . Canes are nasty weapons if you know how to use them .. esp if lined with lead or with a sword in them
