    securing knives?

Securing one's firearms at home is a much-discussed subject in other CombatCarry subforums. I always carry at least 1 pistol when I am away from the house, and lock up the ones left at home so a burglar (although he may steal the locked box or case containing the firearms) can't arm himself with one if he's present when I return.

I was looking at my knife collection and realized I don't secure them the same way. If it's logical to lock up the excess firearms, then it's logical to lock up knives---they are both weapons potentially dangerous to me in the surprised-burglar scenario.

The point of this thread is to query other members.
[1] Do you think it important to secure your knives?
[2] Do you in fact secure your knives?
[3] If so, by what means?

Betty, you would need a pretty big safe to hold all of yours---I've seen the photo!

Might keep em out of criminal hands, but i read kitchen knives are the most used in crimes. (easy to access I imagine) so lock up you kitchen knives too.

My main collection is secured, I leave a lot of 'junk' knives laying around to appease the crooks who would steal them, also I always have a knife at hand no matter where I am at in the house, shop, or barn.
