I've used pepper spray about 10 times at work, and been sprayed twice myself. Here are my impressions: Spray works great on normal people i.e. Not under the influence of crack, meth, pcp, et. al. It's a pain compliance tool. So...if you can't feel pain because you're high or crazy it works for s***. Just my two cents.

I got them both at a good price ($9 and $5 respectively) from defensedevices.com
"Pepper spray is an inflammatory agent, not an irritant like Mace. It causes immediate closing of the eyes and coughing. The length of the effects depend on the strength of the spray but the average full effect lasts around thirty to forty-five minutes, with mitigated effects lasting for hours."
