For Valentine's Day I gave my sweetheart a Benchmade model 690 - the Elishewitz model with blue anodized titanium liners, rosewood scales, carbon fiber bolsters, and black coated semi-serrated blade.

And yes, he received it in a box, not via a sucking chest wound.

It's knife W in the pic.

I know's it's a week early, but I was afraid I'd forget to package up the thing for our romantic weekend getaway. (Let's say it involves a cabin and a hot tub. ) That, and every man needs a good sharp pointy thing. He could use it now.

I chose that one because it's a good utility size and looks as good as it functions. This man certainly deserves it.

He loved it. He showed it off to his friends and his parents, and it's now clipped to his pocket.
hehe, I plan on buying the Mark I by MOD. Do you like the Mark II?

I really like that Mark II. It fits my hands well, it's strong as a tank, has that handy glassbreaker that I'll probably never use , and it's nice and sharp. The Mark I was just too big for my dinky paws.

My sweetheart just ended up with my BK&T (knife B in the picture) as his new camp knife. I have a nice Ka-Bar that's better suited for my hands.

    Hi George!

That Cold Steel Triple Action is just a fun show-off knife for me; the straight aluminum grips aren't the best for traction and can make your hand slide right up onto the blade. The opening system is unique and great for the "ooh, aah" factor, but not very practical. My dagger version isn't legal for me to carry. Closed, it can make a decent impact weapon.

I have a 1.4 MB Quicktime video of me opening and closing one.

""ooh, aah" indeed. Very flashy, but not as much as a butterfly. I like it.
Methinks some strips of skateboard tape would help things out nicely. Or some checkering work.
