New surefire light and Gerber knife...

Well this tax season's money unfortunitly could not be spent on a new addition to my firearm family. We have too many other bills to pay. I was able to pick up a replacement carry light. I got the back Surefire G2. Let me tell ya! right out of the box this thing is crazy bright and very compact! I am 100% impressed with it. I did purchase the P61 120lumen bulb but have not yet tested the output on it. The 20 minutes of battery life kinda intimidates me. I plan on using this light for EDC and if ever needed, i would love to have the 120 lumens of blinding light but in MOST likleyhood I will use the flashlight more as a tool than a defensive tool. So Im debating on returning the brighter bulb.

Then i went on the prowl for a new knife. I have been using a gerber folding tac knife and it works really well. I got the clip caught on a seatbelt in my friends Durango and bent the clip to the point of no return. So I ended up with this beauty. I got it from wally for a steal and so far seem to like it.

Just thought i would share my new toys with you guys and gals!

BEWARE! SureFires are like tater chips! You can't have just one! I own A SureFire G3, a black G2 (like yours) an OD Green G2, a 6P and an E2e. And I plan on getting a SureFire X200A rail light for my OD Glock 22, and a 623FGA forearm for my Mossberg 590.

Don't forget to pick up an SC1 Spares Carrier. It holds 6 batteries and a spare bulb - invaluable little item! I have three of them - one for my G3, one for my G2s & 6P and one for my E2e - the one for the E2e only holds 4 batteries.

    God I love SureFires!

    Heheh thanks!

The E2e is without a doubt - MY favorite! And how much are those batteries you mentioned? I can get a dozen Energizers for about $20 - $25 DELIVERED from my buddy John at www.lighthound.com

Check him out...he's got lots of cool lights, accessories and gadgets!

...and I'll bet my whiskers that you don't stop at just one SureFire!

Contact John at www.lighthound.com and tell him Evan sent you! And BTW, SureFire batteries are made by Energizer - that's the kind I use in all 5 of my SureFires!

The E2 Defender or the new 6P Defender?

My favorite is the E2e "Executive Elite" or the new G3 - STUPID bright!

I use the Titanium branded 123's from Amondo Tech. At $1.00 each, they're a steal, and they have gotten great reviews from testers such as Flashlight Reviews and CPF.

Do they measure up to SureFire or Energizer brand?

I bought a dozen about 6 weeks back, and I've still got 3 sets (6 batteries) left. I figure $1.00 a week in batteries isn't bad at all. I will probably reorder again soon, maybe get a new light too.

Luxeon III and 10 batteries for $45? I can deal with that! It may not be the toughest or brightest out there, but it's perfect to toss in my car BOB/roadside kit.

Well, I just ordered a dozen Energizers from lighthound for $20. I think I'll order a dozen or so from amondo and try 'em out. A dollar a batt? That's a no brainer!
