Bandaids may not be needed. I got a spyderco endura per Kenpotex's suggestion and I can open both of mine (delica and endura) and close them one-handed. Haven't been cut doing it yet. The spydercos have a sort of pause before they actually come to your finger there.

I recently purchased my first Kershaw Leek with the trout emblem. Besides being kind of pretty it meets all of the requirements set by the original poster. A great little knife.

I found it! Well, I didnt, but the boss man did.
Apparently it fell out of my uniform pocket when I was changing to go work out. How that happened, I dont know. The boss found it laying on the floor in the morning and didnt know who it belonged to, so it was sitting on his desk until I walked in his office today and saw it sitting there.
Ahh, its great to get an old friend back...

Glad you got 'er back...I was about to suggest the Benchmade mini-griptillian. If I lost this one I'd weep for days, then buy another one just like it. Not a single complaint--not even a little one. Perfect knife, IMO.

I have owned Benchmades, CRKTs, Cold Steel, Buck, Gerber and Spyderco. The only knife brand I am not willing to part with is Spyderco. In truth I have sold all my other brands.
Yeah I like Glocks, wanna fight about it!

The only brand I wont carry is SOG. Glad you got your blade back. You know what they say, there are knives, then there are Emersons. Just consider yourself lucky you didnt get one, or you'd be ruined forever.
Oh, on the Boker/Wagner...one of the things I really love about the knife is that you can replace the tip with one that looks like a ink pen and the metal clip makes it look like you have an ink pen in your pocket instead of a serious fighting tool.
Oh well to bad you didnt get to spend more money on a new one....enjoy your new assignment.

Oh, but I did. I ordered a new one last Friday. Now I have a spare, I guess.
My new assignment should be fun, it is a plain clothes deal, and I get to work daily with the old crew on the county swat team. I was growing tired of road patrol, and need the change.

Glad you found your knife, there is always something nice about having tools that have been around for a while and no they work.
What is the new one you ordered? A new Benchmade, or did you venture out and try a new brand, just wondering.
New job sounds more exciting than road patrol, but then again you might not get to meet so many interesting people every day.

I went ahead and picked up a Spyderco Endura today, just 'cause...
Its much more sturdy than I thought it would be, and it flicks right open just as fast as my Benchmade. I think I'm going to carry it for a bit, if I loose of break it I wont care much. A $40.00 knife is much easier to replace than a $140.00 knife.

No, I dont think so anyway. Its nothing fancy, just a regular Endura, combo blade.

If you had gotten the wave you would know, there would be a protrusion on top of the blade by the thumb-hole. And a reference to the Emerson patent on the blade. I think its a good feature to have, but I'm sure even without that your Endura will serve you well, I have been nothing but pleased with my Delica. Let me know how it works out for ya. If you hate it I'll pick up an extra shift one week and buy it from ya.
Another question for you, did you at least get one of them that you can set the clip up any of 4 ways, since you like to carry knives lefty?

Yup, I can flip the clip around four ways. I was all hot on that feature, but now that I have it I'm keeping the clip in a right hand position just cause thats what I used too.
