for $2! There's a teensy bit of the tip missing, but other than that it's 100%. I just wish it was waved... but for 2 bucks, who am I to complain?

Is that the old style with the belt clip being a integral part of the grip? Or is the belt clip removable/reversible?
My monitor sucks...
Belt clip is reversible left/right, but always tip up. Delica 4 lets you go 4 ways with the clip.

You did great Jchoo!! While I prefer the newer Gen 4 Delica the Gen 3 was also very popular. You should be able to reprofile that tip very easily. I had a friend at work give me his OLD Delica to fix the tip. It has about 1/4 inch missing. This is what I was able to do.

If anybody has one of the OLDER Delicas with the integral pocket clip - I WANT ONE!!!
Preferably 50/50 blade - but not mandatory! I just don't like the steel pocket clips.
I found it at the pawn shop where I was working today - I asked the manager what he wanted for it, he shrugged and said "Idunno, 2 bucks?" Hey, I couldn't have asked for more.
Ront:
Wow, 1/4" missing? That looks great! Did you do all the work on a stone, or did you grind/sand to get it where you wanted it?

Jchoo, it has been a little while since I did this, but I am pretty sure that I used a grinder first, then a course diamond stone and then a finer diamond stone and then the Spyderco Sharpmaker. It did take a while, but the results were rewarding!

If on a wheel go slow, watch for heat build-up. Might discolor the blade, in extreme cases could spoil the hardening. Use a slow process.
I'd work that tip back into shape with a stone, no wheel. It's not a big break at all.
and wound up here. I'm pretty happy with it, considering... I just wish I hadn't scuffed the steel so badly. Oh well, I won't feel bad when I remember it was a $2 knife.![]()

I got a Delica with the 4 way clip for fathers day. Thanks bobernet.
You're going to EDC that knife? So those marks will be nothing in six months of use.
Great knife story.
Definitely EDC. I've been carrying the Gerber as a work knife since cutting up cardboard, etc. trashes an edge, but I'll give this guy a whirl and see how it holds up.
