A couple of Boot Knife blanks from Damascus USA.
The flares at hilt and pommel will be ground down and they will become sgian dubhs for my father in law and me. I haven't decided what to do the handles in yet, the damascus is not correct for them, but looks very nice, so I don't feel bound to traditional materials.
I do know that I will have my friend with a laser etching machine etch the handle material with the clan crest and fill the relief with gold leaf.
I'd love to find some micarta in the clan tartan, even thought about making my own with some.
Just have to find time to do them, I've had the blades for 2 years and can't seem to find time to do it.
