I have a WWII (18") model from Gurkha House, but I haven't been able to find them since (they may have become Khukuri house). Had some trouble with their scabbard but the knife seems fine.

khukuris, or kukris, are the asian equivalent of the bowie knife, machete, and hatchet, but rolled into one single knife. swinging the blade uses less energy than swinging a large knife or machete because of the forward balance, and unlike the tomahawk or hatchet, it's easier to recover from an overextended swing. if i had to choose a blade to fight with, there are only two that come to mind: a full size katana, or a khukuri. maybe two, one for each hand.

GOT IT! They notified me by phone and email that it had shipped.
It shipped Saturday from Kathmandu Nepal, and arrived my house in southern Louisiana noon Tuesday!
Good quality, very sharp, probably a good work knife, I doubt I will actually use it though.
