1st Knife I've ever owned!!
I just bought a Kershaw Vapor from Walmart. Does anyone have one like this? If so, I'm having problems closing the knife. How do you close this particular knife?
Any help here will be much appreciated.

I've had 2 of them. I gave them away to family. As to closing it, I don't remember them being difficult to close.
It's a liner lock, right? What are you having a problem with?

There is a thin bar inside the handle of the knife that blocks the blade open. Push the bar to the side, close the blade.

...and make sure that you push it to the 'outside' of the knife body...that could be your problem...

I have a Vapor II from walmart, the big bro of the Vapor. A decent knife, feels good, but mine doesn't hold an edge real well. (Good thing I can sharpen.)
I'm, uh, having trouble with the idea that someone who is here on DC and presumably owns guns would be unable to figure out how to close a framelock knife. (My Vapor II is a framelock, not a linerlock; so I'm assuming the Vapor is, too.)
It's something you can just look at and in a few seconds or so, intuit. You know which way the blade has to pivot to get closed, and you look to see what's in the way of that happening. Identify what has to move, and push it clear. Simple as that. In this case, it's that prong from the handle scale (the side that has the pocket clip).
Enjoy your knife. Be careful. Never force it.
Go to the FAQ at bladeforums and learn how to sharpen, now.
