That stick does look like a formidable weapon.

If you've ever played with batons or sticks, this is incredibly lethal. Personally, I really like a forceful groin chop, from "resting cane position"........"right ball- back pocket"

Cold Steel has a wooden version called a "Walk About" stick. I love mine. This version looks too ummmmm dapper for the likes of me.

Have you seen the well-to-do
Up and down Park Avenue
On that famous thoroughfare
With their noses in the air
High hats and narrow collars
White spats and lots of dollars
Spending every dime
For a wonderful time
Now, if you're blue
And you don't know where to go to
Why don't you go where fashion sits
Puttin' on the Ritz
Different types who wear a daycoat
Pants with stripes and cutaway coat
Perfect fits
Puttin' on the Ritz
Dressed up like a million dollar trooper
Trying hard to look like Gary Cooper
Super-duper
Come, let's mix where Rockefellers
Walk with sticks or "umberellas"
In their mitts
Puttin' on the Ritz
------ short instrumental break ------
Tips his hat just like an English chappie
To a lady with a wealthy pappy
Very snappy
You'll declare it's simply topping
To be there and hear them swapping
Smart tidbits
Puttin' on the Ritz

"Speak softly and carry a big stick." -- Theodore Roosevelt
In this case a modern Hitech stick made of space age laminates and stainless steel alloys.
It will definitely deliver a good old fashond thump to the head though.

best to reseach your states laws before hand. In MI it would be questionable if it is legal or not. However a walking stick , made for the purpose of walking would be.

The use of a cane/walking stick in public by a otherwise healthy person leads me to ask some questions. What would be the perception of the average LE officer to seeing a 31 year old walking down a city block carrying a big stick with a shiny metal ball on the end of it be? Also, someone walking with, and carrying a cane may seem to be more inviting to a BG. If a cane was used in self defensive in this situation would a eager liberal prosocuter be more likely to charge the user with "Criminal Baiting"? Just some thoughts that come to mind.
