    My Newest Purchase!

As my profile says, I live in PRIL so I obviously can't have a carry permit. I am a paramedic in a kind of rough town with a lot of drugs, low income, and all the social problems that go with that. I now have a little bit of protection.

I love it. Small enough to not draw a lot of attention on my belt, but carried all the time and ready to go if shtf. Love the pistol grip style. A lot of gross motor skills that will still be around in a stressful situation. Hope to never use it but if I have to I am glad I have it.

It's a shame the bad guys have you honest IL guys outgunned. Maybe someday the Daly regime will either realize the issues or be gone!

I carry one of these, too, but with the plain edge.

Limatunes posted a good review of the KA-BAR TDI here:

I love the TDI. I have two. Good choice

I've posted this before, but I really like the TDI knife. I was given one of the first ones by the man who designed them, I carry it often.

It would be worth a road trip to take one of his classes to really learn how to use that knife.

Good purchase, one of those little knives is on my list of things to buy. More knife fighting training like SIXTO suggested is always a good idea too.

That is an awesome buy on a knife of that quality and blade material.
The seratted edge should be perfect in your profession. It'd great for cutting seat belts, etc. I carry an Almar SLB roughly the same size. It's folds up small enough that it fits in my watch poclet on my jeans, and the clip holds it solidly. Mine is AUS8 Moki Japanese steel, no serations. That is one of the best blades I have used. I do have a CCH license, and my NA mini 22mag and the knife are always in my pocket.

I really can't think of a reason for buying a serrated blade. Sharpening concerns me, but my Spyderco System has a section on the proper angles and method to sharpen a seratted edge. I need to try it on a steak knife for practice.

Great choice, and at that price you could afford to keep on in your vehicle emergency kit.
