I was just reading up on Vermont state laws regarding automatic knives (http://pweb.netcom.com/~brlevine/vt.txt) and apparently one cannot posses, carry, sell or attempt to sell them BUT one doesn't need a permit or license to wear a concealed handgun??? w00t?

I actually bought my Boker and all auto knives at a local clothing store (he also sells anything he is interested in such as knives, airsoft, and many others)
also if you are looking for a really good knife the microtechs are top of the line in my opinion they most certainly make the best in and out (although SOG makes one that is close) but they are rather spendy compared to other brands

Is it legal to carry an automatic knife in TX? I know for a fact that you can not have a large (Bowie) knife of any kind in your vehicle. I do own a couple of automatics, but never carry them. I am usually carring my Gerber ATS-34, and sometime I will carry a M-Tech designed by Shane Sloan, with pearlized handles, just because it's pretty! I know that you can buy automatics here in TX, but do not know the law concerning carring these tools.
Y'all be safe now, ya hear!

I have a Pro-Tech Runt, it's a great little auto. It doesn't have a safety, but the button is recessed in the handle enough that it doesn't need one.

+1 on Benchmade Knives. They make a variety of automatic. I have one I think is the Presidio. About $130 if I recall. You can go up in price for other types from there if you wish.
