Old Gaurdfather spike
I found this weapon inside my basement when cleaning out. It looks like a pen but is fully metal. It is activated by pushing on what would be the "Shirt clip" thing on a normal pen. It is difficult to load and the spike must be pushed against a solid surface. Says made in Italy on the clip. Has anyone seen one of these before? How old do you think this is? How rare do you think it is? How much would it sell for?
Sorry for quality. Camera phone.
I have no idea, but in some states that type of device is illegal
Forgot to mention. For anyone who didnt figure it out by looking at it. Its spring loaded and when you hit the "clip" the spike shoots out.
Alwilliam iam shore will know hes the guru of those old strange cool things. But i must say its looks really well built. Nice found:congrats:
It is a original style Italian Stiletto. Could go back as far as the 30's if I remember correctly. My grandpa in Italy had one, I'd buy it for nostalgic value. Gramps would off rabbits with his sever their spinal cords at the base of their skulls. It may not be legal in your state in which case I would gladly take it off of your hands for you

Old Guardfather pen
If you are interested in selling I know someone that lost his in a divorce and would like to own one again. Please send pic
There's a guy at the local flea market selling new manufactured ones for $20. I don't know what the value ofthe old school original might be considering that. I bought an aluminum one anodized blue. Just blends in fine in my school briefcase.
They are illegal in a lot of places. If you have an actual original Guardfather and not a replica, it is worth a decent chunk of change. I would try bladeforums with better pictures to see what it might be worth. Unfortunately, the replicas are very hard to tell from the originals, and the replicas are only worth $10-$30.
