I have had a Trident Tanto for about a year and a half now, love the knife. Well I went to an arena football game the other night and managed to catch the clip of the knife on the cup holder on the arm rest. It snapped right off! Bummer. Well I called SOG to buy a replacement clip. I told them that the knife was not under warranty and that it was my stupid fault for breaking the clip. The guy says that is not a problem and that they will ship me one for free! Hard to beat that with a stick!
cool, thanks for sharing.

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.
That's good to know.

Bringing this old post back up for an update...
My kid has one of their Auto Knives. The ST-03 I think it is. He is not the original owner of it. But he broke the clip too and he emailed them and they mailed him a new clip and even new screw without question.
By the way the screws on these are T-6 (Torxs bit)
Took a week or two to get it but thought that was real nice of them to do. So nice that I just bought myself the ST-04 Tanto.
I didn't know customer service like that still existed in this country - good to know.

I travel to their area for work and stopped by to see about being a supplier for parts. There had been a retirement lately so there was nobody to speak with that day but I looked at their display case.
I asked the receptionist if they sold seconds, overstocks etc. and she had a nice guy come right up who asked me what type of features I was looking for and pulled out a Twitch XL with a straight blade and black handle that had been a show display but was still mint. 30% off with box and everything! When I told him I was from out of town he copied my DL license and knocked off the sales tax as I was taking it out of state! I didn't even think about that.
Nice people and I hope to be able to work with them in the future.
Beeing an german resident, I´m very pleased by the service, U.S.-based companys grant me.
Beeing it CRKT, which sended me replacement scales for my Hammond ABC for free, Benchmade sending AxisSprings also for free (which in fact is against their firm policy), or any given company.
Which impressed me most, is the quick response time, and the ability and willingness to solve problems with no questions asked.
We in Germany are not used to this kind of Customer Service...
(with few exeptions)

Im proud to carry products, made by men and women, who care for the customers!
Thanks for the info I Carry the Trident in a clip point serriated blade. will keep this in mind for future use.
That's good to hear, a big thumbs up to Sog.
I have a couple of SOGs I carry from time to time. I highly recommend them for both quality and customer service. Good to hear about others' experiences being just as good.
I've only carried SOG knives for the past 10 years, for that reason alone. I have always had excellant service when I've had to call them.

My SOG is stupid proof... with me as it's owner, that's a very good thing to know!
