    Sabre Pepper Spray

I bought my girlfriend some Sabre #P-22. The guys at my local gunstore said its what they all carry. Its supposed to shoot 8-13ft. I'm thinking about buying two more, one for my mom and the other to test and then keep for myself. Its supposed to have thirty five bursts. Just wanted some input and yes i've already told her if she doesn't have it on her, then theres no point in me buying it. Lately, shes had some perves outside of her work as we're college students and she works at the tanning bed on campus, which was my reason for buying. I also thought if I bought this, she could carry it for the next eight months until she turns 21. My other question is can she carry this in places that doesn't permit firearms and knives.

    concealed is concealed.

Whether she can carry weapons or not, I'd encourage her (and everyone else for that matter) to get some good h2h/combatives training and maybe some knife/short impact-weapon stuff as well. I wouldn't want to have to rely on OC as my only force option.

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

The only Sabre that I have experience with was my issued sabre, and I can tell you from personal experience that it does not feel good in the eyes, mouth, nose, etc. It's great on tacos though! She should be fine.

I got online and read. Everyone said test it out, so I did. It shoots every bit of 8ft. I wouldn't imagine it would feel good.

I've read that you're not supposed to keep a unit once you've discharged it. Anyone know if that's accurate?

Saber works a lot better than the stuff we used to use. We have had people sprayed three times with the old stuff. Then they take one shot of the Saber and that's it. What you want to check is how many Scolding Heat Units or SHU the spray contains. That's what really counts. But I can tell you Saber works well.

shouldn't that be Scoville heat units?

Hers was $8.99. The guy at the gunstore is a good friend of mine and full of info so I trust him. The advice about keeping it after using it is inaccurate in my opinion seeing how the manufacture tells you to test it and its good for thirty five bursts.

No problem with giving your sabre a test shot or two...

Just be sure that you check it after the test to see if there is any leak from the unit. Some older sprays (never had the problem with SabreRed or the Sabre OC/CS sprays ) would not seal tight after being used and would slowly leak..

now is it sabre red or sabre 3 in 1 ?

Sabre Red is great stuff and i carry it every day.

it has 1.33% capsaicinoids at 2,000,000 SHU and over 200,000 ut of nozzle heat . Good potent stuff but its no Fox Labs

If its Sabre 3 in 1 that is .13% Capsaicinoids at 2,000,000 SHU but not sure what the ONH is howver , it also contains 1% CS tear gas . so the pepper is not in it for the pain aspect its in there to slam eyes shut if the persons on drugs there not going to feel any of the pain from OC or CS its just going cause respitory problems and swell them eyes shut.

Those things it doesnt matter what drugs they are on its involuntary, if they are sober they will sure as hell feel that CS gas .

I carry the Red in a pocket MK6 Model and i make my wife carry a bright yellow 3 in 1 can on her keychain . ALWAYS test EVERY CAN. espeacially with sabre red you have plenty of extra spray in sabre cans . you get 25 shots with a little key chain as opposed to 10-12 with every single other brand.

no she doesnt , she prob has the "heatwave" stuff and its a gimmick spray . big time number games with that company . no spray is 555,000 out of th nozzle . Maybe 555,000 dilution like the First Defense stuff which is 500,000 shu pre dilution.
