Went into new local Dicks store today found them on sale small enough to go in any pocket and just disapper and the nice thing about them TSA approved with blade taken out.::smile:
The new versions utilize the retaining screw as a "thumbstud" fairly effectively, but I Dremel a small notch in the frame that is more consistant. Add some 20 lpi jimping on the spine, and its incredibly secure. All for $9 + time...
Check your state and local laws in reference to box cutters / razors. I know that in MD they are prohibited unless you are coming from or going to your place of employment and your job requires them. I worked in a town that was loaded with warehouses and the BGs would skirt the law saying they were always on their way to or from work. These folding box cutters became very popular because people thought that they would be considered folding knives. That was not the case.
Are there any chains that carry those Boker knives?
