My friend sent me this link and I thought it looked interesting.
I can just imagine the look on someones face if you reached into your pocket and pulled out a TOMAHAWK.

Really don't see a point of this. I'd rather carry and much rather use a real axe

Lord, Grant me a good sword and no need to use it.
WANT!
This is a folding pocket machete.
All it needs is a holster to wear over ones shoulder and faster than you can say 'Autobots TRANSFORM!'...boom this thing unfolds for fun & games.
Awesome. Oh, and I know of no state that bans carry of a hatchet much less a folding hatchet. :p

Looks like a perfect item to pack for multi-day hiking treks.
Looks like it does not take up much room. I wonder how it would hold up to really hard use?
I'm wondering the same thing. Looks useful, but a good axe/hatchet/tomahawk needs to be able to take a lot of abuse. I think that could quickly end up with worn out, loose, or overreamed hinges. I'll take a solid handle chopping tool with me. Never really been stuck in a situation where I wished I had an axe but didn't have one. I prepare for my trips, and for the unexpected, my EDC knife will hopefully make do. I know my Gerber multitool plier hinges definitely aren't on par with a normal set of pliers...I'd assume the same for this axe. But who knows...it may be an outstanding product.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
Wonder if the folks at my daughter's college would mind? I offered to get it for her, but she says a 2 1/2" assisted opener is fine for her.
The Gerber Gator might be a better choice with a nice plus of having a spare knife that is stored right in the handle.

I get the warm fuzzies every time I see a pic of the Kick Axe.

As I stated before I would much rather have an axe with a fixed handle.
I do not think that a folding axe will stand up if you used it as an axe.

I expect Lizzie Borden would have loved to own one.

I would love to test one. I will have to see if they are for sale yet in the stores.
Maybe I can write up a test report and sell it to a magazine.
