    SHOT report. Great new knives.

OK, first, I'm not connected with this place, just happened to find the booth waaaay back in the corner behind the lady with the foot massager at the SHOT Show. If it wasn't for the desperate need for a foot masage I might have mised it. The stuff was so good I had to write a review. The name is Mantis Knives http://www.mantisknives.com/ and the design, quality and prices were fantastic. I'm not sure if I got a special deal or show price, and my negotiation strategy went something like " Me like! Me want! Me give you money now!" but the three of thse knives cost me much less than $100.

All three with a Surefire 6P for size.

The unique punch dagger in my hand.

A neck knife in a rather sturdy sheath. The texture on the sheath isn't too visible, but it matches the dimples on the blade.

Awsome little carabiner knife that has a permanant home in my fire gear.

If you're looking for a great knife at a price you can afford, give this place a look. I plan to share this with all the firefighters I work with. They all apreciate quality gear at a price that won't break the bank.

And when we can't own guns anymore, I want to have the best pointy things I can

As much as I love push-daggers, I'm not too sure about that design...

those knives aren't exactly new; they've been available for awhile now. also, the owner of Mantis isn't an actual knifemaker, just a "i think this would look cool" maker. i own one of the karambits, and it sits in a drawer. Ken is right about that push dagger, i wouldn't use it, either.

Mantis is building a pretty good reputation and has some interesting designs. I would like to see some performance test done on their products

Cool looking knife. Not something I'd buy for myself, but cool just the same.

I own a Chaos Fixed Blade. It is one serious blade and it looks bad-ass. I have a Chaos folder on my list. Jared, can you hook a brother up?

    Happy Friday?
