I gathered as much. But I was completely unaware of any conflict there. I guess I must have slept through that thread. Oh well, at least I know now.

His leaving is not really a secret or a verboten subject; I just don't see any useful purpose in publishing all the boring details. It would just stir up trouble again. I wish him well....

Wow, hadn't heard of the Kershaw knockoffs. The 2 Kershaw I own appear to be genuine, but then I bought em from repuitable dealers , not a big box store.
Hope you guys get things straightened out.

Well guys, it seems Kershaw isn't interested.

I called them again on the 31st, and talked to a receptionist type person. She seemed to take me seriously, and tried to transfer me to someone. They weren't available and I left a voicemail. So far nobody has called me back.

I will definately give kershaw a second look, but I will go to a gun shop nearby that carries all manner of good quality knives, and take a look at a real one.

Hope Bryan maybe you'll still get some feedback. I'd rather hope they take this stuff seriously.

    They should!!

I don't think they will call Back.

Just my SWAG on this is they contracted certain models of their knives to meet Wal-Marts demand out to China.

And probably catching various sorts of flack over it. That's why the silence you are getting from Kershaw. I'm readung that as a "No Comment" sort of thing.

What I hope will happen is that they will modernize and streamline US production to keep down costs along the lines that Buck has.

My experience with Kershaw's customer service was excellent. They responded quickly and provided free replacements when my clip picked the mesh of my desk chair, and bent. My understanding is that a true Kershaw blade will have printed on the blade the model, the KAI USA patent, the location and month/year of manufacture. Ken Onion designs usually have Ken Onion's name on them, somewhere. On my early model Blur, it is on the scale. On my wife's Leek, it is on the blade. I checked our Scallion and Chive, and both blades have all the printing, and indicate they were made in the USA.

I know I'm late the post but the Scallion is the knife that I bought my dad for Christmas. He is starting to use it and comments that it is a great little knife. My mom told me in secret that he likes to practice opening it when he thinks nobody is around.

Haha - I am still practicing the opening - draw from left pocket requires an inversion about long axis and also about short - to enable the quick open, without slashing the hand!!

    Talking Walmart

Hi, my first post. I bought this Kershaw and it is a great knife. They could be like Buck. In Wallie World you can buy a buck knife made in the USA and some made in China. I guess they are contracting out some of their work.
