    Nothing like taking a bad idea and making it even worse.

    Oh, yeah, it's a great idea:
    Get the bayonet stuck between somebody's ribs, while someone else attacks you from another direction.
    Now what do you do?

    Why would you, holding a pistol, let anybody get close enough to you that you'd need a knife?
    Forgotten how to reload quickly, have we?

    While I do have a pistol with a rail, and I might even but it on just for laughs, I wouldn't mind adding that to my collection of bayonets as well.

    I'm over compensating
    Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason.
