    CCW in Norway?

Well I would like to have some form of protection. In Norway, I can't carry a gun or pepperspray.

I checked and knives are ok. The laws are a bit more relaxed on knives there than in the States. I can have a larger blade etc.

Anyone know of a good knife model? I could carry on my person everyday?

    Thanks guys

Can you give us the specific restrictions? Your preferences? Fixed blade? Length? If a folder, Locking blade?

Will you be traveling through other countries en route that may be a problem (airport security, etc.).?

I'd suggest a Spyderco Delica (if a little longer is okay, go with an Endura, 3 3/4 inch blade). Available on eBay for under $50 delivered.

BUT make sure of laws regarding lock backs (illegal in many countries) and one handed opening (Spyderco has a hole instead of a stud, still illegal in some locales I'm sure). Also, again look at laws of countries you'll have to go through.

I don't know first hand, but understand Germany (for example) can be a real problem with many types of knives. Important you actually KNOW what is allowed before you depart. Best of luck, and have a great trip!

I carry a buck 3" folder, $26 at the House of knives, very light and expendable if required or lost.

I'd wait until I got there, research, then buy locally. Save the overseas/customs nightmares.
