Welcome to the forum.
Nice looking saps too.
Unfortunately, the locals in my neck of the woods have made saps illegal.![]()
God bless our troops!
nice...that soft sap in the last few pics looks like it would hit like a ton of bricks.

If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

I love saps and jacks. I carry this coin sap from Todd Foster every day.

MStephen, welcome from North Carolina.
Its a shame that youth is wasted on the young.
I always had a soft spot on my skull....I mean in my heart for Flat Saps.![]()
I also make them. Mine are filled with fine Lead Shot these days.
Years ago I made them from Kangaroo hide filled with powdered Lead (I'm not too keen about working with powdered Lead now though so I changed to fine Lead shot)
BTW - Kangaroo leather being the toughest and most tenacious leather there is.
Kangaroo leather is getting mighty expensive these days and the hides are not very large. SO...I was looking for a suitable substitute and I finally found one. (yea! me!)
Recently I started making them again - each side of thin plated laminated Vegetable Tanned Hermann Oak "back" leather.
So one Flat Sap consists of 4 Top Grains of Hermann Oak and that is every bit as tough as Kangaroo leather.
I'll post a PIC late tonight or tomorrow.

An improvised sap can be created from the nylon belt holster for maglite flash
light and roll of coins.
One day took the belt holster that came with my Craftsman (Sears) 2 AA mini
flash light - more or less as an experiment - slipped roll of nickels in it. Swung it
not too hard and hit palm of my other hand. OUCH! though I had broke my
hand it hurt so much. Now wonder what would happen if swung it with
force intending to do some damage.
Advantage is that these are common objects which can be carried on person
without inviting atteniton (or arrest by Law enforcement)
Welcome from Missouri, and I definitely wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that thing.

That Todd Foster Coin Sap is a really neat idea.
I've been thinking about getting a sap, I think I'll start looking around for one.
