EDC is a Benchmade Monochrome partially serrated blade clipped in waitstband with a Gerber Clutch mini-multitool in the pocket. If I'm in the woods, I carry a full sized original Leatherman that's pushing 20 years old and a Beretta / Loveless Drop Point Hunter fixed blade in it's sheath.

AllAbtSlfDef - thank you for the tip, sir. Not a big fan of Spyderco's but I will certainly check the others out.

Jack, the others are really nice, they are light and have really good blade steel. Although when you need some heavy duty cuttin power the recon is a great choice.

    Had to Switch

I have been carring a Benchmade 9100 for years now and have loved it to death. But; I have moved to Alaska and found that you may not carry an auto so I had to change it up a bit. I have started to carry a Kershaw RAM and have found it to be solid, fast and sharp....oh... and its made in America!

It's hard to let go, isn't it? I had one for a short time during my pre-deployment training, but unfortunately lost it in the SoCal desert. The nice part was, I had acquired it from some other poor soul who had lost it on a prior FX, so I had no lost investment. Guess it was destined for a nomadic existence.

I have a really great Gerber 06 Auto I carry on base. It served me well in Iraq, but I can't carry an auto in Missouri. So off base it's a no-go. Don't overlook the CRKTs in your future pursuits. I'm partial to their M16 series as well.

Thanks for your service. We ground pounders always appreciate anything you guys can put overhead.

Hi all. I just upgraded my EDC blades I will be carrying.

I had been carrying the Kershaw Whirlwind, but without a pocket clip, it just sorta rattled around in my pocket along with my keys and it was starting to bug me. Besides, I had $ from x-mas burning a hole in my pocket, So I bought the Kershaw Leek and CRKT M16-14. The leek will always be with me, the CKRT, when im walking to work. The SOG is now in my tool box, the Whirlwind in my car, and the leatherman as backup in my messenger bag.

I currently have a CRKT M16-13SFG, it's my first and won't not my last. I'm already looking at a SOG, Benchmade and Kershaw. Plus a smaller knife when I venture into the peoples republic of Chicago.

I've been carrying some knock off leatherman type tool has a small led flaslight and a couple of other tools. After today I'll also be carrying the Kershaw Ken Onion Spec Bump that just arrived :)

I plan to get a Kershaw Mojo/Mojito when something smaller is required and also a KaBar TDI short version for my weak side.

    +1 on the mini Griptilian.
