    Thanks, Mr Chitlin. I've been looking for a high-value short-range scope for my AR and those scopes you have look like they might fit the bill.

    I like your tastes

    Yours is a few years older than mine;

    Funny got this in Email

    New Nail Gun, made by DeWALT.
    It can drive a 16-D nail through a 2 X 4 at 200 yards.
    This makes construction a breeze,
    you can sit in your lawn chair and build a fence.
    Just get your wife to hold the fence boards in place while you sit back,
    relax with a cold drink and when she has the board in the right place,
    just fire away.
    With the hundred round magazine
    you can build the fence with a minimum of reloading.
    After a day of fence building with the new DeWalt Rapid fire nail gun
    the wife will not ask you to build or fix anything else, probably, ever again.

    Basic AR from CMMG's bargain bin that I bought about 2 years ago. I added the Magpul stock, single point sling plate, Hogue grip, and the Brownells riser topped with a cheapie Truglo red dot. Works damn well for what it is and it's an absolute blast.

    My son Zach loves it! His first trip to the range is coming up soon and he's looking forward to shooting some of daddy's guns! :)

    Hey Tom;

    Did you hump one of those and when was it?

    Hi OD;

    My SP-1 had a black sling exactly like that one when I bought the rifle used. Haven't seen the sling in over 20 years. Wonder if it is still around here, tucked away in something.

    What about that pistol grip on the tacticool model? That looks rather comfy and efficient. I haven't made up my mind about the benefits of the vertical fore grip but the pistol grip your rifle features looks like it would be a natural.

    That is the ERGO Grip, very comfortable indeed, I didn't know if I'd really like the vertical fore-grip, but it is rather handy too. I have kept all the original parts to put it back to a stock 6920 if need be.

    A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

    Wow. I wouldnt dare post my picture in this thread. I've got a bare bones Bushmaster AR with coupled Magpul mags. Thats about it :) Great looking AR's guys!! Hate to break topic, but how often do you clean these things? I absolutely hate cleaning mine, and it often stops me from even shooting it. It takes me 2 hours for a "good" clean. Drives me crazy.

    My recent build (I made this!)...

    Superior lower, Anvil M4 upper, Bushy LPK, YHM Diamond-flute 1:9 chrome barrel, JP Vtac tube, Geselle trigger, Wilson Accu-Tac flashider, Magpul MIAD grip, CTR stock, BCM FA BCG, Blackhawk 3-point sling (and the obligatory Pmag), and TA33 ACOG.

    And, she's a shooter.

    I enjoy cleaning my AR, or any of them as much as shooting them. It's all part of the passion.

    "Carried through all of 87 and went to the A2 sometime in late 88 ."

    That was a day or two (or 23 years) ago.

    Thanks for being there for us back then Tom.

    While it wasn't just the other day it didn't occur to me that the A2 didn't arrive until as late as 1988.
