Any recommendations on a good sling? I'm looking for something semi comfortable that will work well for tactical shotgun training classes.

Just as an FYI my local Wal-Mart sells that same slip on recoil pad for like $12.
I'd bought one last fall to use with the .45-70 I'm running but found no need for it and returned it this past January.
With regard to a sling...I'm partial to single point for the specific application you have in mind, which is combat use.
Or even no sling at all. I know, heresy!
Shotguns are so much fun! : )
I fixed it for you!

Nice looking shottie

I have one for Remington from Tactical Link...Stealth Series one point with mount.
It's NIB unused and never installed though (I don't own a Remy) so I can't report on it directly. I've had it for 3 yrs. now sitting in a box of gun stuff.
I understand they are regarded to be quality pieces though.

Will do...But do not take my statement as being advice.
I just mention TL as one among very many other suppliers out there of some known regard.
Further to be completely forthcoming I am thinking to either custom fabricate my own one point sling for combat and field use (shotgun) and/or to order a Magpul MS2 convertible one/two point sling for use on both shotgun and carbine...For combat and field use.

Note: My indication to prefer one point is _NOT_ based on the view of the above by the Magpul boys.
I came to that conclusion as based on my own independent use of both systems, and using no sling at all.
To my mind for field use as related specifically to carry a two point rules....With exception for the handy & neat three point Eric Ching 'Ching Sling'.
As related to combat use with little to no distant carry involved (HD) no sling at all to my mind rules.
For weapon retention to the body and management of dual systems such as long gun & handgun as within short travel distances by foot then the single point rules.
As well with a shotgun there is no slinging up of the firearm for shooter support as one _might_ do with a rifle as in the field (hunting) and/or as may be applied to military type distant accuracy shooting in combat or competition.

Have you shot the gun with the light mounted there? It seems like it would be subject to a lot of abuse there.

Very nice shotgun...
Are you going to get a mount plate that goes between the receiver and stock, for your sling mounting point?

I would recommend you move the light back to just in front of where the mag extension screws on.
Nice rig, mines about the same. Went through a lot of slings to figure that out. Ended up with a Cheap $20 two point from a local gun shop.
Very nice shotgun! They are such a BLAST! Yes?
