SLR-100 would be what I'd look for. Mine is a Gordon Tech, there are not many built as well as them.

Also, what is a fair price for a milled one?

Arsenal has milled AK's as well as stamped and as we all know they are very well made (assembled) AK's, and the milled guns will cost you around $500-600 more than the stamped rifles. I have to ask why you are specifically looking at a milled reciever AK. The reality is if I am a better shot than you I would outshoot you if you were shooting a milled rifle and I a stamped. The milled may be slight more accurate but in an AK thats subjective anyway. I have shot both types of AK's extensively and really not much difference in performance between the two reciever types. The milled rifles are heavier in weight and have a more robust feel to them, but most people never wear out a stamped rifle either. Is it worth paying almost double over a quality stamped rifle like a Arsenal. Only you can answer that.

These are very well made rifles and the builder stands by his work and is highly respected

Just like any AK from any country of origin almost all now are stamped recievers (US made) and parts kit guns, including Bulgarian. Arsenal uses Bulgarian AK parts kits for their milled rifles and the recievers are also made in the US now. You can sometimes find a pre-ban rifle with a milled Bulgarian reciever as in this case (Gunbroker add rifle).

This will give you an idea of what they go for now

I was under the impression the milled rifles are a little smoother and nicer then the stamped. I was mainly looking for quality since all AK's are Known to function well.

A milled AK with a fixed stock will weigh almost exactly one pound more than a stamped rifle.

Some used milled AKs start at about $600 currently and new ones run from about $900 to $1500

Older collectibles may sell for more.

How are the IO AKs? I saw I believe in Guns and Ammo that they are entirely made here now?

I would pass on Lancaster until they get there customer service sorted out.

The polish milled AK from Century is said to be a pretty decent milled AK from the reviews I've seen.
