I am thinking about buying an M1 Garand from a buddy of mine. Does anyone here have one or know the going price for a Garand made by Harrington and Richardson? Do they have different values based on the manufacturers -- there are evidently many -- or are they fairly level in the prices. This one seems to be in pretty good shape although the stock could use a new finish. He is asking $600 for it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thats seems reasonable. Ive got a 43 Winchester that I paid 500 for a few years ago.
Make sure the parts are matched to the rifle. Certain brands had certain parts on them. A lot of Garands have mismatched parts on them and it brings down the value somewhat.
