    Spikes Tactical

I have been slowly putting a few dollars aside and slowly researching Ar-15s. I had not heard of Spikes tactical until this afternoon when a buddy brought his over. He bought a complete rifle from them for a little over 850 shipped. Any way it seemed like a good deal and the weapon shot like a dream. very accurate, no jams in the 200 rounds we shot today. My question is: Does anyone have any experience with these rifles? It will be at least a few months before I am ready to purchase but i want to step up the level of research i am doing.

Any feedback good, bad, or whatever would be helpful.

I have no personal experience with them. However my research leads me to believe that they are a well respected company. I've read great reviews on this forum and others dealing specifically with the AR15 platform. They are currently at the top of my list for my first AR purchase. Come on real estate market...come back so I can buy a Spike's AR. Good luck with your search. Do search this forum...they've been discussed here before.

Great products and service. Their rifles are just a notch or two below the top tier rifles by LMT, BCM, Colt and Noveske IMO. Great AR's value for the money. They make fine HD rifles and plinkers. Buy with confidence.

Both the quality of their products and the level of service are excellent. They will always be first choice when looking for AR goodies for me.

I was reading this about AR-15's. It helped me to understand as a novice what to look for when purchasing.

The gentlemen that created "The Chart" has posted on M4 that he believes Spikes LE line is the best assembled rifle under a $1000. I have a LE upper but haven't shot it yet.

I have 3 Spikes rifles and they are all first-rate rifles. (5.56, 9mm, .22) Excellent finish quality and quality components. I am very satisfied with my Spikes products.

    I love the .22LR bolt kit for 5.56mm AR's.

I have the Kit and 6 black dog mags. All my AR practice at indoor rangers is done with .22lr due to frangible 5.56 costing $1.50-$2.00 PER ROUND.

If you are serious about training with a rifle and do not have a government budget, the .22lr kit from Spike's or one of the other brands is an absolute MUST.

I have a Spike's .22lr conversion and I love it. I plan on building a new M$ and I'm going to be using several Spike's pieces.

What are the downfalls, or cons, of Spike's rifle?. I only hear the pro's, except that they're not quite top-tier. What has to be improved on them after buying one? (Besides optics and optional accessories.)

No down sides that I can see except it's like candy you always want more. Their form, fit and function have been flawless for me.
