Just received my M1 Garand from the CMP!

I ordered a service grade M1 Garand, and it only took 3 weeks from the day they received my paperwork, until it was delivered to my front door. This is going to be a gift to my grandfather, he carried one at the very end of the Korean war in 1953. I hope he likes it as much as I do.

Sweet looking rifle, much nicer than some of the ones I saw in Anniston and from the looks of the bullet in the muzzle a nice tight bore. Your grandfather will be very proud.

Looks like it's in great condition, I hope your grandfather gets many years of enjoyment from it.

Beautiful gun! Do you mind sharing how much you paid for it? I am interested in the Garand and wondering what it will set me back.

I'm sure he'll love it! Great gift. Am assuming that he taught you to shoot and hunt as well. It will bring back all the memories for him.

That is a lovely M1! The stock is particularly nice. The reddish shade is reminiscent of the older Krags and 1903 Springfields as they originally came from the factory.
