New Sniper Rifle to the SEALs by 2015 called "EXACTO"

The Navy SEALs made it three shots, three kills on Sunday, and around 2015 they will have a new .50 caliber sniper super rifle called EXACTO enabling them to kill bad guys at 2500 meters. This will be possible thanks to the use of an actively controlled bullet that will counter environmental effects such as crosswinds and air density.

ExSoldier:

Fire and Forget technologies. FIN/SPIN stabilized projectiles. A bullet that once fired at a specific target will fly itself into that target by changing shape in flight.

Right. I think its just a concept that is only in the beginning stages of develoment. I suppose the ammo will make my Gold Dots seem cheap by comparison...

Gold Dots seem cheap? I think the ammo will make a box of 20rds of .338 Lapua seem cheap and those sell for $100 per 20 rds! Which only goes to prove, all the really NEAT toys can only be had in government service. That's why I loved the M1A1 Abrams tank.
