    Recent Modifications

Did a little bit of work on a couple of my Saiga's over the holidays. Finally got to run them yesterday and thought I would share a few pics.

I threaded the 7.62 for a Primary Weapons FSC47. Did notice a difference on recoil and muzzle rise. If you really lay into it, the muzzle will rise, but not like before.

On the S12 I pushed the gas block off, cleaned up the ports and installed some new furniture. Runs like a dream.

I think the one on the top looks sharp. I couldn't do the forward grip like on the bottom though because of my stubby arms. I do like your positioning of it though, out of the way of the magazine. Pretty sweet looking rifles, thanks for sharing.

Nice Zero, as always quality work from you. Haven't even shot my Siaga or Cia in months now.

Both look great. How similar is converting the shotgun compared to the rifle? I've only every seen videos of the rifle. I keep holding off because I don't want to mess up the bullet guide install with a hand drill.

    Looking good !
Will the 12 gauge shoot the light loads?

That muzzle brake on the 7.62 looks pretty wild. Sharp looking guns!

Looks great, have you checked out the Battle Comp

A NCHP Sgt was running a Battlecomp, and the more I see of this comp, the more I like it. I have one (with another one coming) and it actually does work; though without the increased noise, muzzle blast and muzzle flash of other comps. During the night shoots, it has no more flash than the A2.

Im not a muzzle brake fan. This comp is awesome! Every time I pressed the trigger, the dot DID NOT MOVE. I want one in 6.8 and 7.62 as quickly as you can get one to me!

Thanks for the complements guys. It's fun to wrench on these things...even more fun to run them.

HotGuns, I only had 25 rounds of light loads. They went though fine. I have a gunfixer plug and on 3 the light loads ran great. They almost ran fine on setting 2 but then I experienced one jam (common with light loads in the past)...turned the plug back to three and dumped a couple mags with no problems at all. There is a noticeable different now that I have cleared out the ports and cut a "D" shape in the gas block. It is a three hole gun and had one partially blocked and two not cut out completely. FYI...it always ran buck reliably.

zeppelin03, I used a hand drill when installing the bullet guide. It's not hard at all. Or you can always run saiga mags for high capacity and not mess with the bullet guide. The shotguns operate in the same manner as the rifle, just a little different. There's no pistol grip hole cut and port holes must be dealt with if obstructed.

Haven't seen it yet, does look interesting.

I have a 7.62 that's not converted yet, might have to give it a try one of these days.

    Very nice stuff.

BTW, what is that ghost ring rear sight that you have on the Saiga 12?

I'd like to get something similar for my Saiga 7.62. The stock rear sight is way too small.

These are Krebs too. Looks like the peep hole is much smaller than their shotgun one.

Have you heard of others filing out the rear blade groove to see better?

I just installed a Krebs on my WASR. I have yet to actually use it on the range. But looking through, I can tell it's going to make the shooting experience much better.

    I'd love to build a Saiga 12.
