    Hoot to shoot

Well, I never thought the day would come that I'd buy a AR but after a lot of reading and looking, and the fact that my wife took over my M1 Carbine, I finally broke down a bought a Ruger 556, very satisfied and it is a hoot to shoot.

I've got a chance to buy a used one from my LGS but didn't know if it was that good of a deal ? Until I saw the prices on their site for 1700 to 1900. What are they going for in the LGS ? Congrats on the new weapon, very nice

I bought the gun new and it comes with Troy Industries sights, rail guards, 3 Magpul magazines and a Hogue grip. I paid less than $1500.00 new. Added the front Surefire light, green laser and the forward vertical grip and of course the most expensive accessory, the Eotech 512. The gun is very accurate, have had no issues regarding anything other than shooting up a wad of money in ammo. It is front heavy, no doubt but with a good sling that doesn't seem to bother me at all.
