Part 2: Fitting regular AK mags
Regular AK mags fit in the mag well but the saiga mag catch is too long to lock in place.
After some filing (carefully...a little at a time) the mags lock in with no problems. It is important to file the catch level with proper angle otherwise the mag will wobble or get stuck.
Part 3: Bullet Guide
This 7.62 had a flat trunnion making the guide installation a breeze. Lined it up, marked it and made a divot with the punch to guide drill bit. Drilling that metal is easy.
Taping isn't difficult. A drop of oil, 1/4 turns with back offs and easy as she goes till done...no prob.
The guide secured easily and the mag cycled like a champ. Just need to red lock tight it in and she's good to go.
