    6.8SPC?

Not to start a caliber war but has anyone had any experince with the 6.8SPC in an AR configuration? giving it a lot of thought. Would be used as a small to medium game rifle and HD. Thanks in advance.

Great round! Took four large White Tails this year, longest shot was 210 yds. 6.8 SPC round fits the AR15 lower so it is much lighter than the AR10 for .308. Ballistics are between the .223 & .308. Low recoil and very accurate from a good barrel!

I don't have any experience with it, but I know there are a lot of people that like it. However, it's a pretty new round and who knows how long it will be around so ammo might be a problem to get unless you reload. Ammo today is also more expensive than .223.

Have a T/C barrel for it. You'll be limited to <125 gr bullets. I've been looking at SSK's 6.5 MPC - same weight bullets, higher SD and BC, and it uses .223 brass which is plentiful and no need for a different bolt.

The 6.8 SPC is a ballistic twin to the .257 Roberts, a very good deer round. And it fits in an AR-15. Win-Win.
