BANG BANG BANG BANG POP BOOM
I've never seen a squib round cycle the M16 action to where the barrel was obstructed,,The bullet has to pass the gas port to allow gas to enter the gas tube,it also needs to have enough pressure to cycle the action,I have seen a Range Instructor after a guys gun jammed chamber a new round without checking for a barrel obstruction, and tell the guy to go ahead and when he pulled the trigger the upper receiver blew up.

That would be a negative,I guess I could build a pistol caliber upper in 9mm for cheaper shooting,Mine should be here Monday so I'll probably be at the range monday afternoon playing with it
