TAPCO Mags for Mini-14?
Hi All,
Anyone have any experience with TAPCO mags for the Mini-14?
I'm sold on Magpuls for my AR, but I don't think they make them for Mini-14's (?) I found a good clearance price for TAPCO mags for the Mini-14, and might stock up on a few, if they're any good.
Your thoughts?
Regards,
Jim

Not for the Mini 14, but I would assume quality control is uniform. I use exclusively Tapco mags in my AK-47 and they run flawlessly. Worth the money imho

I use Tapco in my AK as well. I have never had problems with them but the AK forums I frequent call them "crapco" mags. I don't know about for the mini 14 though.

Thanks, Fellows, for your input.
I'll probably go ahead & spring for a few of them, for $10 + change each (30 rd.).
My AR (S&W M&P) is my SHTF rifle of choice now, but I'll always love the Mini-14's!
Regards,
Jim

Do yourself a favor - stick to factory mags.

Thanks for all the replies. After seeing the video Rollo linked to, maybe I'll try one or two of the mags, rather than "a few"! Seems the reviews are really mixed - Some hate 'em & some love 'em. I'm hoping that the bad reports were from older editions of the mag, and that the bugs have since been worked out (?)
It definitely looks like the factory mags are the best, but Jeez, they're proud of them! I also really like the idea of polymer mags for their dent-resistance and light weight. Guess I was hoping that someone had a Mini-14 equivalent of the Magpuls that are so universally praised for AR's.
Thanks again for the responses!
Regards,
Jim

The Tapco GALIL mags are getting very good "fit & functional reliability" reviews. For what it's worth.
