Another great review! I have to say that the HK seems like a great AR to choose from. I just can't get past the price. I don't ever mind spending money for high cost items, but it has to make sense.

If this rifle were in the $1800 range I would say it's a good deal. But at the $2500 price point, unless you have a big gun budget, I think you would be better served by other options on the market. But if you have the money, it's the Ferrari of the production class AR's. There are some quirks, but I think I can work past them. The quality of the rifle is simply amazing though.

The MR556A1 cost may at first seem "high" but after pricing a Noveske N4 light rifle at discounted price $2350, the street price of $2800 for the HK does not seem terribly out of line. Proper perspective is needed when assessing the value of the HK. Yes, it is at the very high end but the buyer gets a super high quality rifle. HK has always cost premium money but you do get a premium, feature packed, rugged and accurate weapon. The only complaint I have about the 556A1 is the weight. It is about two pounds heavier than many AR variants.

Thanks to you know who, he is printing fiat money 24/7 to fund mindless spending, our dollar is rapidly becoming worthless. To purchase items, especially those made in Europe, (I know it's assembled here in the U.S. like certain MB's or BMW's), we Americans must get out the wheelbarrow and take the toilet paper dollars over to the gun store. And don't forget to vote in November because our lives and our sport is at risk from little nero and his goon squad.
